The Market Is Coming Back in 2027!
We did it! The Lambertville City Council has agreed to renew its agreement with the Lambertville Farmers Market for the 2027 season.
Thank you to everyone who attended and spoke at the City Council meeting on Thursday, September 17, and to the 475+ people who signed our Change.org petition. We couldn’t have done it without your support.
If you need a dose of inspiration, please read through some of the beautiful comments that market attendees, volunteers, and performers shared as part of this campaign:
“I am so pleased to see how many people support the Farmers Market in Lambertville. I look forward to working with the Market as they transition to a non-profit, and hopefully we can ensure that Lambertville residents have access to fresh, local produce. I also want to commend the Lambertville Farmers Market for working with vendors to donate unsold produce to area nonprofits such as Fisherman’s Mark.”
—Councilman Evan Lide
“The Lambertville Farmers Market has quickly become an integral part of our life here in town. Every Sunday, I look forward to getting coffee, flowers, bread, and produce from fellow members of the community. It's not only a place to shop but a space to connect with our friends, neighbors, and farmers.”
—Caroline
“Perhaps selfishly, as a small business owner who operates just down the street from the market, I also appreciate the foot traffic the market brings to this part of town and how it supports the local economy.“
—Rachel
“We love the market! We came nearly every week to do our weekly veggie (and then some) shopping. With all the food safety issues with store-bought produce this year, the market was our go to—thank you! We’ll definitely be back.”
—Nikita
“I've gone to the farmers market every weekend I could make it this summer, it's been a wonderful add to our community and directly benefits the local residents, myself included!”
—Jessica
“Lambertville Farmers Market not only supports local food producers, but it helps create community. I see people coming to shop, then hanging around, listening to music and socializing. And as one of the performers, I know I draw followers from the other side of the river who might not otherwise spend a Sunday morning in your lovely town.”
—Cathie
“Our market supports local businesses! The vendors sell the best quality products. It is a community gathering that is very welcoming!“
—Judy
“This has been the exact kind of community event that the area has been lacking for years. It brings people together and is a truly joyous experience every week.”
—Paula
“The farmers market is such a wonderful addition to Lambertville weekends! We love getting fresh produce there, picking up a pastry and seeing our neighbors. As a new parent, it’s also been a great way to meet other parents and get out of the house.“
—Emma
“We love this market. It’s also great for Lambertville businesses as we always walk around town afterwards to go to cafes and shops, and draws people in from all around.“
—Pamela
“When we visited our daughter and son in law in Lambertville a couple months ago, the farmer’s market added so much to our experience! We purchased local take and bake foods, fresh vegetables for a salad, local bread and fresh flowers! Making a fresh meal with our daughter brought us so much joy!! And the fresh flowers bring her happiness every week!“
—Lesli
“Tremendous addition to Lambertville. We need more not less events that build community and provide a great service!“
— William
“Support local!!!”
—Giana
“Very much enjoy the community venue in the library parking lot this summer. Can ride my bicycle over and it was a very nice way to start Sundays. I enjoy a rotating variety of vendors. I enjoy buying fresh, local foods directly from producers who make the effort to keep their prices as consumer friendly as they can.“
